4 Foreword Dear Readers: For us, sustainability isn’t just another item on the agenda—it’s part of our daily operations. At Casualfood, we believe that good food, responsible action, and economic success go hand in hand—in a pragmatic, approachable, and practical way. As part of the ORIOR Group, we are guided by shared sustainability goals and supplement these with measures that fit into our day-to-day work. In doing so, we focus on three key areas: People, Planet, and Products. We believe that transparency builds trust. And that one

For us, 2025 was a year in which we made significant progress in collaboration with our partners—and further developed many things: processes, ideas—especially thanks to the people who work at Casualfood every day—and initiatives—but also our understanding This report shows where we stand and what we’re continuing to work on. What’s particularly important to us is this: In other words, sustainability doesn’t happen in a single department, but throughout the entire company. That’s our recipe. And we’re refining it step by step.

10 A Conversation with Our CEO A Conversation with Our CEO A Conversation with Jörn Niewiadomsky Quick question: What immediately excited you about Casualfood? I was excited by the combination of entrepreneurial spirit and humanity. Casualfood is exceptionally well-positioned, has strong brands, and at the same time a very down-to-earth, family-like culture—that mix isn’t something you take for granted. What do you think makes Casualfood special? Our employees are the real reason Casualfood works. Many Casualfoodies have been with us for a long time; some completed their apprenticeships here and now hold leadership positions. These success stories and our strong sense of camaraderie are what make us special. Looking ahead to the coming years: What’s important to you? We want to continue growing while staying true to our roots. That means staying open-minded, trying out new ideas, and focusing on quality, humanity, and collaboration. At the same time, we want to integrate sustainability more and more into our processes—in a pragmatic way that works in everyday life. Currywurst or pizza? Definitely currywurst. Casualfood in three words? What does “Sustainability: Human. Agile. Passionate.” mean to you personally? Making conscious decisions in everyday life—pragmatically and without perfectionism.
12 People, Planet & Products Our Recipe for Sustainability Our Understanding of Sustainability A good dish needs more than just good ingredients. It needs people who work together, the right decisions—and a willingness to keep improving. That’s how we view sustainability, too. For us, it’s not a rigid concept, but part of our daily actions. Some changes are big. Often, it’s many small steps that, together, make a difference. Our approach is deliberately pragmatic: We focus on the areas we can influence—and work to improve them step by step. 14 How We Live Sustainability How We Live Sustainability Sustainability does not arise in a single department, but through the collaboration of many areas. That is why at Casualfood, employees from management, operations, quality management, HR, inventory management, and corporate development work together to develop sustainable solutions in our day-to-day operations. In doing so, we also align ourselves with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They help us categorize issues, set priorities, and think about responsibility in the long term. What’s important to us is that sustainability shouldn’t remain abstract, but should become visible and tangible in everyday life—for our employees as well as for our guests and partners.

People 17 What Drives Us The Success of Casualfood Every day, around 600 employees from over 70 countries bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas to the table—in our outlets, kitchens, logistics operations, and offices. This diversity shapes our corporate culture and fits perfectly with our work environment in transit foodservice. Just like a good recipe, it’s all about the synergy. Different people, experiences, and skills are what make Casualfood unique—and ensure that many individual ingredients come together to form a cohesive whole. It’s important to us that everyone feels valued and can make their contribution. That’s why we prioritize respectful collaboration, fair working conditions, and opportunities for growth within the company. Many Casualfoodies have been with us for many years—some even for nearly two decades. These shared stories continue to shape our company to this day.
People 19 For us, treating one another with openness and respect is part of our everyday work life. That’s why we consciously create an environment where people from different backgrounds, with different perspectives and experiences, feel respected and taken seriously. “Respect often starts with small gestures in everyday life.” With Norma serving as the confidential advisor, Casualfood has a dedicated point of contact for employees who need support or a confidential conversation. In addition, Leon, as Diversity Manager, oversees various initiatives and activities related to diversity, equal opportunity, and cultural exchange within the company. These include, among other things, internal campaigns, the Diversity Calendar, and programs that promote open dialogue in our day-to-day work.

Flexibility, organizational skills, and a good understanding of people are especially important.” Sandra Ünal began her career in customer service and gradually worked her way up—all the way to her current position as Outlet Manager. Her story is representative of many colleagues at Casualfood who take on responsibility and advance their careers within the company. It’s important to us to offer people long-term prospects—regardless of their background, gender, or entry point. That’s why we make targeted investments in development opportunities, supporting the next generation, and internal career paths. Our trainees are also integrated into day-to-day work early on and receive individualized support. Initiatives like “Lunch & Learn” and cross-location exchanges support their personal and professional growth. Over the years, this approach has given rise to numerous individual career paths within Casualfood. “Many career paths at our company begin right in our day-to-day work.”
23 “Safety also means looking out for one another.” “Even small reminders can make a big difference.” Working at food service locations presents unique challenges—from high background noise to changing work conditions and shift work. That’s why occupational safety is a top priority at Casualfood. Through regular training, on-site safety officers, and ongoing dialogue with external experts, we’re working to create safe and healthy working conditions. Above all, we believe that safety can only be achieved when we work together.
24 People: More Than Just Work Not everything that defines us as a company can be measured by metrics. In 2025, we created various initiatives that fostered interaction, new perspectives, and team spirit in our day-to-day work. Through the “Change of Perspective” initiative, administrative staff spent a day working in stores, kitchens, or warehouses, gaining firsthand experience of day-to-day operations. Another special moment was our Christmas tree campaign. Together, employees at all locations fulfilled the wishes of senior citizens and brought great joy with small gestures. Even smaller initiatives—such as those through Beekeeper—have shown how important appreciation and camaraderie are in our day-to-day work. Especially during our anniversary year, it became clear just how strongly many people have helped shape and influence Casualfood over the years.

26 Planet Responsibility Starts in Everyday Life For us, responsibility for the environment doesn’t begin with big decisions, but with our daily actions. That’s why we’re constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint—in areas where we can make a tangible difference. This includes, among other things: • Energy consumption • Packaging • As well as more sustainable processes in our stores and logistics Through energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting, and the continuous improvement of our processes, we’re working to use resources more consciously and improve our operations step by step. We also follow a clear approach to packaging: reduce, replace, and reuse. With our sustainability brand POP—Protect Our Planet—we’re increasingly focusing on more eco-friendly packaging solutions designed in-house. Many small changes can add up to make a big difference.
28 Planet: Using Food Responsibly “Taking responsibility together makes a difference.” Food waste doesn’t just mean throwing food away; it also means wasting resources, energy, and labor.
29 “Appreciation often begins with a mindful approach to food.” That is why we are constantly working to reduce food waste and better align our processes with demand and production. In addition, we collaborate with partners to distribute surplus but still edible food and make the best possible use of resources. For us, sustainability doesn’t end at our locations. In 2025, we participated in a joint cleanup campaign for the first time, sending a clear signal of our commitment to the local community. Such initiatives demonstrate that sustainable action doesn’t have to be abstract—it can be concrete and collaborative.

32 Products: Sustainability You Can Savor. “For us, good food and responsibility go hand in hand.” We believe sustainability doesn’t have to taste like it’s made by the book. With us, it comes to the table fresh, authentic, and perfect for everyday life. At Casualfood, there’s something for everyone. Across many of our concepts, we already offer vegetarian and plant-based alternatives—tailored to different needs and travel situations. More than half of the dishes we prepare in-house are now vegetarian. For us, it’s not just about good food, but also about feeling good about it. That’s why we prioritize regional suppliers, more sustainable packaging solutions, and a more mindful use of resources. Purely pragmatic—just the way we are. 33 Responsibility Across Our Products A central aspect of our responsibility is integrating food safety with more sustainable processes in our daily operations. That is why we are continuously refining our cleaning and hygiene concepts—with the goal of using resources more consciously and making processes more efficient. This includes, among other things: reducing water and energy consumption; minimizing packaging materials; and adopting more responsible solutions for materials and equipment.
34 The Taste Test In the previous chapters, we’ve shown who we are at Casualfood, what issues matter to us, and how we understand responsibility in our day-to-day operations. But how can all of this be measured? Climate change and the responsible use of resources are among the greatest challenges of our time—including for our industry. That’s why we regularly assess the actual impact of our measures and identify areas where we need to improve. Not everything works out right away. Some changes take time. Others are already showing initial progress. What matters most to us is to take an honest look, make developments transparent, and continuously learn from them.

36 Our Carbon Footprint Our Carbon Footprint “Transparency builds trust.” For the fifth time, we have calculated our carbon footprint in collaboration with an external climate partner. This calculation took into account all relevant direct and indirect emissions—including those from electricity consumption, heating energy, refrigerant leaks, company vehicles, and other upstream and downstream processes. Our total emissions in 2025 amounted to 15,086 metric tons of CO₂e. We already use 100% renewable electricity at all our airport locations. Moving Forward Together Toward Climate Goals 39 Moving Forward Together Toward Climate Goals Starts Right Now “It’s not about doing everything—what matters is staying the course.” For us, sustainability means not only making progress visible but also being open about it. In 2025, we achieved positive developments in various areas. For example, our company-wide food waste rate was 2.9%, down from the previous year’s figure of 4.2%. We were also able to further increase the use of reusable cups. At the same time, we were able to reduce the number of print jobs in marketing compared to the previous year through digital processes. Another important indicator remains the health of our employees. In 2025, our sick leave rate fell to 6.47%—a welcome decline compared to 8.5% the previous year. At the same time, we also see areas where further action is needed. For example, the proportion of sustainably certified products has decreased compared to the previous year. We have also not yet been able to achieve any improvement in the consumption of virgin fiber paper. We are consciously taking note of these developments and using them as a basis to further develop measures and define new goals more realistically.
40 The Next Chapter We’re far from done. For us, sustainability isn’t a destination—it’s a journey. Many changes happen step by step—in our daily lives, in our processes, and in our collaboration with people and partners. Moving forward, we want to continue approaching responsibility pragmatically, try new approaches, and improve in areas where we can make a tangible difference. Above all, it’s important to us to remain realistic, keep learning, and continuously improve things. Let’s keep going. We know that real change takes time. At the same time, we’re convinced that many small steps, taken together, can make a big difference. Our commitment remains the same: to take responsibility—for our environment, our resources, and the future of our company.
41 “Together, we’re shaping the next steps—day by day.” Thinking beyond responsibility, using resources more consciously, and developing together. Sustainability should remain an integral part of our future. We want our sustainability measures—in the areas of energy, packaging, and food waste—to continue to be a core part of our business. Sustainability only works when we work together. That is why we want to continuously develop our decisions and processes—from purchasing through our stores to distribution and collaboration with partners and suppliers—to anchor responsibility in our company for the long term, actively involve our employees, and identify further potential for resource conservation. We want to take sustainable thinking one step further.
