Thinking sustainably about our future!

Casualfood is committed to combating climate change, reducing food reduction of food waste and sustainable packaging. Every year, we determine our carbon footprint in order to take targeted measures to reduce our environmental environmental impact. With efficient processes and environmentally friendly packaging, we actively contribute to climate protection and a more sustainable future. future.

1. combating climate change

Our understanding
Combating climate change is a central element of our sustainability strategy. Only by taking significant steps in this area will we be able to position ourselves as a sustainable company.
Our way
We take a close look at our CO₂ emissions and calculate our carbon footprint every year.
Our goal
Recording our carbon footprint for previous years will provide us with the data we need to define our climate target. We will continuously improve our carbon footprint through the increased use of green electricity and other sustainable measures.

2. less food waste

Our understanding
We take the issue of food waste very seriously. We have made it our mission to find ways to reduce food waste. Our primary goal is to balance demand and production.
Our way
We see food waste as an area where we have a lot of potential for improving corporate sustainability. This year, food waste will be tracked in the accounts for the first time at selected points of sale. Collaborations with food sharing organizations are already underway.
Our goal
We will reduce our food waste company-wide by 50% by 2030.

3. sustainable packaging

Our understanding
Our commitment to sustainability should be clearly recognizable in all marketing activities at the point of sale, as well as on social media and in B2B communications. We communicate sustainability topics, such as our packaging strategy, to our various target groups.
Our way
By developing our own sustainable and uniform POP (Protect Our Planet) branding, which we use for all our concepts, we avoid the unnecessary production of packaging for each individual brand. The new packaging is sustainably produced and completely compostable, as are our coffee cups (from Earth Cup) and our bags. Our sugar sticks and napkins have no branding whatsoever, and the sugar is fair trade.
Our goal
We have reviewed all our packaging for ecological optimizations in order to further advance our sustainability goals.
