Thinking sustainably about our future!

Casualfood wants to offer its employees a workplace where everyone feels comfortable. With a good working atmosphere in which needs are recognized and skills are promoted. We work hard to achieve this!

1. fair and attractive employer

Our understanding
We are a fair and attractive employer. This is particularly important against the backdrop of an increasing shortage of skilled workers, which has become even more acute in our industry following the pandemic. We live up to this claim and do a lot to promote competent employees and keep staff turnover as low as possible.
Our way
We regularly gather feedback on employee satisfaction through internal surveys and conduct regular one-on-one meetings (CasualTALK) with the entire workforce. We promote young talent and train apprentices in three skilled occupations. We cover the costs of further training upon agreement.
Our goal
We want to secure attractive jobs and create sustainable new and interesting jobs.

2. human rights, diversity and equal opportunities

Our understanding
Respect for human rights is non-negotiable for us. Diversity is an important issue in the catering/retail industry. An open approach to diversity broadens our target group of employees. But it is only through the implementation of equal opportunities that we can ensure that diversity in the workforce is perceived as an asset.
Our way
We create a positive working environment in which everyone embraces and loves our corporate culture. We are signatories to the Diversity Charter and communicate this openly. With the support of our Diversity Manager, we will implement more and more diversity measures and demonstrate that we take this issue seriously.
Our goal
An open approach to diversity is central to our philosophy. It is important to us that employees feel welcome, comfortable, and valued at Casualfood, regardless of gender, age, or ethnicity.

3. occupational health and safety

Our understanding
We take occupational safety and the health of our employees very seriously. Since the working environment at airports and train stations is often stressful and temperatures in the outlets can only be regulated to a limited extent, we do everything we can to make work as safe as possible for our employees and to protect and promote their health.
Our way
Our safety officers in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and BER ensure that our workplaces are designed to be safe. They are also available to answer questions from all employees. Occupational safety standards are continuously reviewed and adjusted in regular meetings with the external occupational safety service. Our employees receive regular training on occupational safety. This takes place as part of onboarding and in regular power briefings.
Our goal
We collect KPIs on absenteeism hours annually and try to reduce them through targeted measures. We ensure a safe, attractive, and healthy working environment for our employees.

4. Corporate behavior

Our understanding
Sustainability is not only reflected in products or processes, but also in everyday behavior. Integrity, fairness, and responsibility form the basis of respectful interaction for us—both internally and externally.
Our way
We create clear framework conditions for responsible conduct—through internal guidelines, a culture of compliance, and regular training. Our actions are guided by applicable laws, internal guidelines, and ethical principles. At the same time, we set clear expectations for cooperation along the entire supply chain with a binding Code of Conduct for our suppliers.
Our goal
We want to promote a working environment in which sustainable and value-based behavior is a matter of course. This includes ethical conduct, fair decisions, and respectful interaction—both within the company and in our dealings with our business partners.
